The Cards Speak … About Me!
So I’m taking the daily tour of poker blogs, seeing what bits of wisdom I might be able to pick up from those futher along than I on this poker thing. Frankly, Its been a horrible week full of my own patented brand of tight-weak bullcrap. I need all the help I can get from the heavyweights out there who consistently pump out interesting, thoughtful content about the game that is driving me crazy.
Iggy has pet trouble (Very sorry to hear it. Used to have cats myself.); Linda from pokerworks has more great war stories from the trenches at the Bellagio; Pauly Mcgrupp goes off on wall street vs. poker…
And a new post by Hdouble, who, everyone agrees, is one of the best writers and deeper
thinkers of all the poker bloggers. plus, he’s a fellow L.A. guy and a fellow software guy. Down to the bottom of his post today and i did a double take on this:
FHWRDH is another LA up and comer with a nice-looking
site. Hopefully I’ll get to sit at his table someday:“this week, my goal is to read and study the limit hold’em
chapter of brunson’s super system (thanks for the bday
present, facty) written by bobby baldwin. in preperation for
vegas next month, i’m going to commerce casino with lkim
from work on saturday. my first casino game. i felt like i
shouldn’t even set foot in a casino poker room without
reading this. i know - nerd.”
Yes, for the record, that is me quoting Hdouble me.
Wow, I’ve been unearthed. Found out. Exposed. Well, if anyone is here from there, welcome. Sorry I don’t have comments set up at the moment (you can drop me an email at
poker@fhwrdh.net). I don’t run this site via blogger or blogspot or any of those. this is all home grown, hand-coded html and php. so if I want comments, I need to code it myself. and I have, sort of. Needs polish and testing. Guess I should finish that up…
Anyway, big thanks to Hdouble for the link. Of course, now I have to start having something to say.
