Like Chris Moneymaker, Sammy Farha was knocked out in day one of the festivities.
There was a story going around Vegas, that Sammy had a $10,000 bounty on Moneymaker.
Sammy offered $10,000 to the contestant that knocked out Moneymaker, and paid off that individual after it happened!!
The person who relayed this story to me (who was in the tournament), insisted that it was true, and thought it was a very low-class move on Sammy’s part.
I thought Farha was the highlight of the final table in 2003.
